A Bomb We Called Sam | Bristol Old Vic Studio

DIRECTOR

Trapped inside Newcastle’s beating heart, three teenagers are confronted by grief when their best friend dissapears off the cliffs of Tynemouth.

A shockwave of mistakes, love and anger ensues, motivating Morgan Milburn to construct a bomb and take revenge on the city she blames for her brother's death. A decade later, the teenagers are brought together to confront the ghosts of their hollowed past. A Bomb We Called Sam portrays the death of childhood, blending struggles of working class adolescence with the surreal and supernatural imagery of newcastle.
