REMH PRODUCTIONS
INDEPENDENT THEATRE. DISTINCTIVE STORIES. AMBITIOUS COLLABORATIONS.
REMH Productions is an independent theatre production company founded by director and producer Roisin McCay-Hines. We develop, produce and tour bold, imaginative and thought-provoking theatre for audiences across the UK.
OUR WORK
Our work is rooted in place-based stories, finding the universal in the specific. We are drawn to distinctive voices, overlooked histories and stories shaped by the people and places they come from.
With a particular interest in new writing, adaptations and stories rooted in real lives and experiences, we create theatre that connects us through a shared sense of humanity. Our work spans socially and politically engaged storytelling alongside productions that offer a joyful escape.
OUR APPROACH
With strong roots in the South West, we are committed to championing regional artists and audiences, and taking ambitious theatre beyond traditional cultural centres. We believe the future of theatre is collaborative. Through co-production, we can share resources, knowledge, ambition and risk, creating opportunities to make more ambitious work while developing sustainable ways of producing and touring. We are interested in building meaningful, long-term partnerships that strengthen regional theatre and support a more resilient industry.
Our theatrical collaborations include Theatre Royal Bath, Theatre Royal Plymouth, Hall for Cornwall, Exeter Northcott Theatre and the Mercury Theatre Colchester. We have also worked in partnership beyond the theatre sector, including with the Menopause Charity.
OUR PRODUCTIONS
Our debut production, Life Before You by Eva Hudson, toured nationally in 2026, visiting Theatre Royal Bath, Mercury Theatre Colchester, Tobacco Factory Theatres and Theatre Royal Plymouth. Receiving critical acclaim, the production was accompanied by the publication of its playtext by Methuen Drama (Bloomsbury).
WHAT'S NEXT
REMH is currently developing an exciting slate of new productions for future touring, working with emerging and established writers and theatre-makers. Our developing portfolio includes new writing, adaptations and stories with a strong sense of place, with ambitions to reach audiences across the UK.
We welcome conversations with writers, artists, venues, co-producers and organisations who share our ambition to make bold, accessible and sustainable theatre.
